HAPPY 2016! Welcome to the new year! What is your ONE WORD for 2016? We will be reading One Word That Will Change Your Life by Jon Britton, Dan Britton, and Jimmy Page! Students will choose their ONE WORD for 2016 and write a narrative essay about their special word! We’ll create ONE WORD ROCKS, decorate  ONE WORD posters,  & make OUR ONE WORDS FOR 2016 banner to hang proudly in our WRMS 6th-grade hall!

As we finish up the third six weeks, here are a few updates:

1. WILDCAT READING ~ The end of Wildcat Reading for the 3rd 6-weeks is Friday, January 15th! Be sure you have read at least 5 books, including 1+ biographies/autobiographies and completed a project! The Wildcat Reading Incentive theme for this 6-weeks will be “Keep Warm this Winter with a Good Book”! 

2. WINTER BREAK ~ On our calendar is the following days off:

Monday, January 18, 2016: Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday

Tuesday-Wednesday, January 19-20: Teacher Workdays/No School for Students

3. SECOND SEMESTER ~ We are halfway through this school year! The second semester & 4th six-weeks begin Thursday, January 21st! You will receive a new exploratory schedule and a new planner!
